We recently completed this comprehensive educational fit-out for Ermysted’s Grammar School in Skipton. Customer's Challenge
The primary challenge at Ermysted’s Grammar School was the requirement to modernise aging ceiling structures whilst maintaining the architectural character of the building. To do this, the project required a complete removal of existing systems to make way for a more complex design. This included incorporating natural light through sky lights and high-level vaulted sections.
Our Solution
With this purpose in mind, our team executed a high-specification ceiling transformation. We began with a controlled strip-out of the old ceiling before reinstating a modern system designed to accommodate integrated sky lights. A key feature of this project was the installation of a technical vaulted ceiling using MF Ceilings. As a result, this created a dramatic sense of space and light, ultimately achieving the desired outcome
Additionally, we carried out a full retile of the existing Suspended Ceilings in adjacent areas to ensure a uniform, clean finish throughout the facility. Subsequently, this turnkey approach provided the school with an aesthetically striking and highly functional environment that maximises natural light.
